I had this idea of doing a pool side photo shoot for the longest time and Janie had posted on Instagram that she was looking for someone to shoot, so I messaged her right away to throw out this concept idea. I sent her some ideas of shots I was looking for and she worked her magic to produce a lot of amazing pictures. Of course the day we decided to meet was a cold and cloudy day, but the cloud coverage made the mood feel very crisp and clean. I wanted my outfit to stand out from the background and I remembered having a bright blue one-piece bathing suit that I thought would just POP. And I was right, the blue under the white cover-up with the pool and the props we used were everything I wanted and more.

Janie was a trooper in the cold and helped me try out new concepts and poses that I wanted replicate. We work really well together and I hope I'm able to shoot with her again soon. I'm looking forward to warmer weather in the upcoming months so I can try another pool or open water shoot with a flowy dress... but actually get in the water. Can't wait to see how that goes!
